Gracious hospitality in stunning, brand new city hotel
Don’t miss this hotel if you will be stopping in Heraklion during your visit to Crete and are looking for luxury, excellent cuisine (this is a place for foodies), exceptional service and gracious hospitality. This is the gateway to Crete. You are greeted warmly and treated like family as soon as you walk in the door. You are introduced to the food, culture and customs of Crete, including receiving a complimentary welcome drink and snack, snacks, water, Raki, tea and coffee in your room in addition to the mini bar. Your needs as a weary traveler are met and you feel refreshed to visit the historical museum a short walk away and explore other historic sites. They will assist you in renting a car if needed and suggest other places to visit on the island. Be sure to get something to eat and drink in the bar restaurant, the food was the best I had tasted in several weeks of traveling in Greece - and we all know Greek food is so good. You get a full breakfast made specially for you based on your breakfast card choices and it is delivered to the room (there’s a nice dining table). Options on the breakfast menu include all kinds of Greek/Cretan cheeses, fruit, eggs, meat, Greek yogurt with honey, fresh baked breads, muffins and cakes. This place is not only exquisite (5 star), it’s a great value - we paid only 20e more per day than the rate at this group’s much older three star hotel (Lato Boutique), which is a few blocks away. We got a suite and were very comfortable. There was a great water view from our room, it was beautifully furnished and decorated. Our every need was met and more.
